On September 13, 2018, the YLP Class of 2019 had a successful kick-off at the student and parent meeting. The information gathering was conducted at Calvary Christian High School. It was well attended and marked the beginning of the 34-class members’ journey.
The highlight of the evening was a speech from Noah Cleckner, YLP Class of 2018 graduate. He spoke of his highlights from last year. After he mentioned his favorite moments, he allowed the kids a chance to ask questions. The new class engaged him in an informative discussion that allowed them to better understand the program.
Next up for the class is the opening retreat at the YMCA James P. Gills ropes course. The students will be learning and interacting during the team bonding experience.
