Board Member of the Month: Georgie Menke

Georgie Menke, Class of 2009

President

It was a long drive south to get Georgie Menke out of New York City to Palm Harbor, yet, in 1993, when her family packed up and moved to Florida, she covered those miles and vowed to make an impact in her new community.

Georgie is a dedicated mother of two high school aged children and her chocolate lab. These two children are who drive Georgie every day to be a better person and to give back to her community.  Her daughter, Julia 17, and son, Kristopher 15 are currently attending PHUHS.

Georgie attended St. Petersburg College in Clearwater and made her way to the Advantage Group in 2005, where she has served as the VP of Operations. In 2009, Georgie was selected for Leadership Pinellas and is now a proud alumnus. Since her graduation, she has been very involved in Leadership Pinellas. Georgie has served as Secretary and had the honor to serve as Program Chair for the 2014 Class as well as Chair for two different committees: Criminal Justice Day and the Holiday Happening. She is currently Leadership Pinellas’ President.

On the rare occasion that Georgie is away from her work or family, she is heavily involved in the Clearwater Jazz Holiday. She was appointed the Chair of Donations in 2008 and held that position for three consecutive years. The event gets more and more attention, funding and accolades due to the efforts of Georgie and her fellow team members on the committee. Currently, Georgie is the Chair of the Clearwater Jazz Force 2017 & 2018.

Georgie enjoys her position within the insurance industry and is continually reminded of the impact she has on clients’ lives.  With her knowledge, expertise, and experience, she can get them the funds they desperately need and help them get through some of the most difficult times in their lives. This is one of the main reasons Georgie continues to serve clients in the insurances field. Georgie has a love for giving back, not just to her family, but to her community and her clients.
