YLP/YMCA sponsorship 1/1/2011
Dear Alumni and Class of 2011,
We are still welcoming help in sponsoring Youth Leadership. There is still time for you or your company to consider sponsoring a student to go through Youth Leadership Pinellas for next year. Below is a quick breakdown of what it is and how you can be a sponsor. Just remember how you felt going through Leadership Pinellas -- the friendships you made, what you learned and all the FUN you had!! This is your chance to give that same experience to a High School Student!!
Who: Youth Leadership Pinellas – It is a program similar to Leadership Pinellas and is a partnership between Leadership Pinellas and the YMCA of the Suncoast. For six months students participate in program days very much like those of LP. The goal of YLP is to provide an education and deeper understanding of the community in which they live. They're exposed to a wide variety of educational and cultural experiences. This program is for 10th – 12th grade students enrolled in high school (or the equivalent). Students must complete an application/ resume and interview before becoming part of the incoming class. Many of the teens who graduate from YLP are selected to participate as the teen representative on the YMCA Board of Directors. This is a wonderful college and life resume builder!
What: Sponsorship Levels are the following:
Top of the Class- $500 (Full Sponsorship for 1 student)
Dean's List - $300
Honor Roll - $200
Extra Credit- $100
When: Starting today!!
