Oct. President’s Message

Class of ‘08

Dear Friends:

I hope you are enjoying your fall and all the vibrant Leadership Pinellas activities we have coming up – look forward to seeing you at one of them.

We kicked the month off with a Roaring 20’s themed social put together by Matt Campbell ’15 at Dolce Speakeasy in Clearwater – check out the fun our LP members had getting decked out and all that attended enjoyed the social time together.

In September, we also held the first Program Day of the year, Human Services Day. Huge thanks to the team chaired by Brian Siracusa ’14 along with Randy Nillson ’14, Tamara Black ’18, Amanda Fischer ‘07, Leah Slavensky ’18, and the Pinellas Community Foundation and CEO Duggan Cooley ’07 who sponsored the day.

The first debrief social was held after Human Services Day and was held at the Mellow Mushroom and was very well-attended. It was exciting to see so many Alumni and Class members there having a great time, as well as an opportunity for the Mentors and Mentees to connect. Hope to see you all at our next one on November 14.

We launched our Lessons in Leadership video series with Duggan Cooley ‘07 and the Pinellas Community Foundation in September, and this month, please check out the latest Lessons in Leadership featuring our President-Elect and one of this year’s LP sponsors, Bob Childress ‘ 11 and Solace Insurance.

We heard you and created a new, easy way for you to submit potential LP future members and candidates whenever you meet them throughout the year. Now just go to ReferLP.com and there’s a simple form on our website for you to put in your name and email and their name and email (and phone # helps) and we’ll do the rest to keep them informed and invited to upcoming events and let them know you recommended them.

We are also excited to announce our next Leadership Institute Lunch and Learn featuring Gary Regoli ’10, President and CEO of Achieva Credit Union, as he shares his leadership lessons on Transformational Leadership. It is being held on Friday, November 2, 2018 from Noon to 1:30 p.m. at SPC Collaborative Labs. This is a great event to invite anyone you think is a potential future LP member and a great mentor / mentee event, as well as the fact that it’s open to all members of the community you feel would be interested. It promises to be an impactful event.

This month, keep your eyes open for the launch of our newest Leadership Pinellas Program – LP Snapshot to be held in January. Special thanks to Tammy Robiconti ’15 for leading the marketing launch of this exciting new LP Program.

In your service,
Cyndee Haydon
